2022 Seed Consultants Customer Trip Information

Thank you for registering for the 2022 Seed Consultants customer trip. We would like to inform all potential attendees of current CDC regulations, travel guidelines, Los Cabos, Mexico expectations, and frequently asked questions (FAQ). Please read the following information, sign and return to Seed Consultants.

Current CDC regulations (as of October 2021):

If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get tested no more than 3 days before you travel by air into the United States (US) and show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight or be prepared to show documentation of recovery (proof of a recent positive viral test and a letter from your healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel).

 Travel guidelines:

  • Airports and planes: Air travelers are required to wear a facemask in the airport and for the duration of your air travel. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your air ticket and a travel ban by the airlines for all future air travel.
  • Transportation to and from airport: masks are required for travelers while in the vehicle.

 Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos expectations:

  • Face coverings - Required in hotel indoor public areas and when moving around in outdoor areas

Seed Consultants expectations:

In compliance with the Corteva Agriscience COVID-19 safety protocols, all attendees must wear masks when social distancing of 6 feet cannot be maintained during Seed Consultants business meetings and functions while on-site.

 COVID-related traveling tips:

  • We recommend bringing multiple face masks.
  • Check with your medical insurance prior to traveling so you’re aware of your coverage in the event you do become ill while outside of the United States.

(FAQ)

Q: How will trip attendees receive COVID tests?

A: One COVID test will be administered to guests compliments of the resort and will be arranged at the resort. Additional testing is at your own expense. Additional details will be provided at the meeting during the trip.

Q: What will happen if an attendee tests positive for COVID?

A: If someone tests positive, they hotel will quarantine them in their room for the mandatory 14 days. They can get food delivered directly to their room.

Q: If an attendee tests positive for COVID and has to quarantine, who will pay for the extra time at the resort?

A: If someone tests positive and has to quarantine, Seed Consultants will cover the cost of the stay.

Q: What if an attendee tests positive and their travel companion tests negative. Does the negative traveler have to depart on their scheduled flight or are they able to stay with the traveler that tested positive?

A: In this case, the companion travel will be considered as a possible positive case, because they have been sharing a room. It is recommended that the “positive” attendee and their companion guest take a PCR test (at their own expense) to confirm the result, taking into consideration that the initial test could be a false positive case.

Q: What are the resort’s COVID precautions?

A: Facemasks are mandatory by Baja California Government on common areas. Guests will need to use facemasks around the resort in common areas, and during private functions when they need to approach the bar, buffet or restrooms. Hand sanitizer and facemasks are provided on property. All guests are subject to a temperature control check upon arrival at the resort. The “welcome arrival agents” will welcome guests and inform them of the hotel protocols. Social distancing is encouraged throughout the resort.

Hotel operation is as normal as possible. Restaurants, bars, club lounge, nights shows and the kids club are open. However, face masks are mandatory in the common areas, as well as at the buffet restaurants and private events.
